What is NFC and how does it work?
NFC = Near Field Communication is an international communication standard for wireless data exchange over short distances. NFC technology is supported by a number of smartphones and tablets. To transfer data using NFC, a smartphone or tablet is held close to a pre-programmed NFC tag, which activates a specific application or function on the device.
In the Uma NFC pen, the NFC tag is located directly under the internal NFC logo. This ensures easy transfer of information to a smartphone or tablet. For NFC to work properly, the phone or tablet must be connected to the internet. Without internet access on your phone or tablet, the NFC pen will not work.
The UMA NFC pen contains a link to a URL address. The entire series of pens contains the same address. The content of the URL address can be updated daily.
